Nice gossip found in one of the website, Read on to find what it says. Yet another controversy has surfaced regarding Mallika Sherawat and this one concerns her age. The tabloids insist that she cannot be 25 years old as claimed by her mother. Instead, she could well be 35 years old.
A private TV channel even aired Sherawat's group photo taken in way back 1995 when she was working as an airhostess. Records show her age then to be 24 years old!
Mallika, who celebrated a birthday earlier this week, is however amused by all the speculation.
Talking to a leading news channel, she joked, "You know something. I'm 45 and I have two grandkids. “ It's just that about me there's more misinformation than information. And surprisingly, they inflate all my positives and negatives. They inflate my ego, my success, my failure -- and now they've inflated my age!"
Having earned rave reviews for her performance in Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Sherawat will be now seen as an ex-CIA agent in a movie ‘Dasavatharam’ with Kamal Hassan, where the actor himself plays a record-breaking ten roles!
Reveals Ravi Kumar, director of the movie, "Mallika agreed to do the movie even before she saw the script. She plays a bold, modern girl. It was a pleasure working with her as she would report every morning at seven on the dot."
"But one had to be professional since Kamal himself would reach the sets around 2.30 -3 am everyday!
He would do his make-up for about five hours and by the time Mallika arrived he would be ready for the shot,” he adds.
So while her kitty is full of work why is she keeping a low profile these days?
"I really haven't been keeping a low profile. I just think and believe that it is time for me to shut up and do some good work. I've blabbed enough," she gushes.

मल्लिका, जिन्होंने अपनी सालगिरह अभी कुछ ही दिनों पहले मनाई है, इन ख़बरों से काफ़ी अचंभित हैं।
एक प्रमुख ख़बरिया चैनल से बात करते हुए मल्लिका ने मज़ाक में कहा – “आपको मालूम है कि दरअसल मेरी उम्र ४५ साल है और मेरे दो नाती-पोते भी हैं। ... मेरे बारे में सही जानकारी कम और ग़लत जानकारियाँ ज़्यादा हैं। और अचम्भे की बात यह है कि मेरे अच्छे और बुरे दोनों पहलुओं को बढ़ा-चढ़ा कर दिखलाया जाता है। लोग मुझसे जुड़ी सभी चीज़ों को इसी तरह बढ़ा-चढ़ा के दिखाते हैं; मेरे अहंकारी होने को, मेरी सफलता को, मेरी असफलता को -- और अब मेरी उम्र को भी बढ़ा-चढ़ा कर बताया जा रहा है।”
‘प्यार के साइड इफ़ैक्ट’ में उत्साही प्रशंसा बटोरने में क़ामयाब रहीं मल्लिका अब पूर्व-सीआईए एजेंट की भूमिका में कमल हसन के साथ ‘दशावतारम्’ में नज़र आएंगी, इस फ़िल्म में खुद कमल हसन ने रिकॉर्ड-तोड़ दस भूमिकाओं को निभाया है।
इस फ़िल्म के निर्देशक रवि कुमार बताते हैं – “मल्लिका स्क्रिप्ट पढ़ने से पहले ही फ़िल्म करने को राज़ी हो गईं। उनका किरदार एक बोल्ड, आधुनिक युवती का है। उनके साथ काम करना काफ़ी अच्छा रहा क्योंकि वे हर रोज़ सुबह ठीक ७ बजे सेट पर पहुँच जाती थीं।
लेकिन कमल हसन के साथ काम करते वक़्त आपको प्रोफ़ेशनल होना ही पड़ता है, क्योंकि कमल हसन खुद रोज़ सुबह के ढाई-तीन बजे ही सेट पर पहुँच जाते थे।”
रवि कुमार इसमें जोड़ते हैं, “मल्लिका के आने तक कमल खुद अपना मेक-अप वगैरह करके शॉट के लिए तैयार हो जाते थे।”
लेकिन सवाल यह है कि इन दिनों, जबकि मल्लिका की टोकरी काम से भरी हुई है, फिर भी वे इतनी ‘लो प्रोफ़ाइल’ क्यों हैं?
इस बाबत मल्लिका का कहना है – “मैं लोगों की नज़रों से ओझल नहीं हुई हूँ। मैं सिर्फ़ यह सोचती हूँ और यक़ीन करती हूँ कि अब मेरे लिए चुप रहकर कुछ अच्छा और स्तरीय काम करने का वक़्त है। मैं पहले काफ़ी बोल चुकी हूँ।”
